Games & Stories
Games have a major impact on our kids' daily lives, and as people who seek to inspire the next generation with a love of learning and science, games have great potential to teach and impart knowledge.
By developing unique video games and interactive software, NIIMS plans to create a new and vibrant way for kids to gain an understanding of Muslim contributions to science and medicine, and also form an appreciation of the Islamic ethos. The interactivity of games, and the skills required to master them, create an environment where children can gather vast amounts of information without even realizing that they are learning. |
Story Telling
Sharing stories with young children is a great way to keep them engaged in the quest for knowledge. For centuries, stories have been used to relay traditions, jokes and moral lessons.
We feel that having a structured time and place for stories is essential for helping our children, and the children of our neighbors, to share a common understanding. This can form the building blocks of long term friendships and will also help to create an appreciation of a scientific mindset. |
